Patrons at the North Florida School of Special Education’s annual fundraiser were blessed with beautiful weather, a stunning location and gourmet pairings sure to please any palate. Guest chefs Matthew Medure and Steven Schaefer teamed up to provide the evening’s menu as guests enjoyed the experience of two seasoned chefs as they plated the fine cuisine.
The 5th Annual event, part of a continuing series, was held May 17 at the home of Dr. Abhijit Deshmukh along the banks of the St. Johns River in the San Jose area. Funds raised from the event help to foster growth for the school as they work to improve the lives of students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities through the achievement of academic, vocational, and social skills.
