Art and garden event sprouts


The 1st Annual Antiques & Garden Party, benefitting the All Saints Care Center and local outreach missions, will be April 19-21 at All Saints Episcopal Church. The fundraising event features an extensive array of pieces from nationally known antique dealers, distinctive artwork and a selection of garden accessories. Following a preview party on April 19, the show is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21. Event entry is $5 per person and tickets may be purchased at the door. Some of the onsite dealers expected at the invent include Janet and Toney Gould, Janice Burstien, Maynard Langford, Cathedral Place, Coronado Antiques, Sue Mick of Tippe Canoe, Garrett Smith, Amy Barnett, Toastie Hardy and more. Lunch will be available for purchase during the show Friday and Saturday and baked goods will be on sale in the show’s Patisserie. Organizers are hosting an appraisal fair during the event on Friday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can bring in their personal antiques and have them appraised by local experts for $5 per item. Appraisers include Tom Watson, Bill Hardy and Bea Ketchum. Tickets to the appraisal fair may be purchased at the gate. The preview party, appraisal fair and antiques and garden show will be on the campus of All Saints Episcopal Church, 4171 Hendricks Avenue.
