Women’s Giving Alliance celebrates 10 years with study, luncheon
Greenscape of Jacksonville volunteers sold trees all morning during the group’s annual Flowering Tree sale — then joined the Late Bloomers Garden Club for an evening of dining and dancing at The Root Ball. Held at the Garden Club of Jacksonville, the casual fundraiser ball included a barbecue dinner and live music — and a lively crowd of neighborhood merrymakers. San Marco resident Cyndi Schmidt and Ortega resident Bob Chabot were ball chairs.
This year’s event marked 25 years of flowering tree sales and hailed to E. Zimmerman Boulos, the honorary chair, who fathered the idea back in 1987.
