Children’s chorus headed to Ireland

The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus will be performing in Ireland this June as part of its first international tour.

The young singers, many of them local residents, will spend six nights and seven days traveling throughout Ireland. Some of their stops include Dublin, Limerick, the Cliffs of Moher, Kilkenny and Wicklow. The choir will perform with the National Children’s Choir of Ireland and the Dublin Cappella Choir at St. Mary’s Church in Limerick and St. Ann’s Church in Dublin.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to perform with such fine choirs in these distinguished venues — but I’m even more thrilled for our singers to have this wonderful international experience and cultural exchange with the Irish choirs,” said Darren Dailey, choir director.
