Fairfax/Ortega residents take in abandoned stray temporarily
Late in July, a medium size female dog, appearing to be of a boxer-terrier mix or a lab-terrier mix, was found after seeing dumped behind an office building on Lakeside Drive (at the end of Euclid). After a frustrating month of trying to get close to the dog, a Herschel Street couple was able to calm the dog and take her in.
“Gracie”, as they call her, was taken to their vet. She’s about one or two years old, spayed but no microchip. She’s very well behaved and gets along with the couple’s American Bulldog, loves to be petted and happy to sit at their feet.
