Iconic exhibition opens with style in focus
It was an opening night that celebrated fashion’s makers, models and the media’s take on fashion and style throughout the past few decades. Through generous donor support, the exhibition at The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens came to fruition with the assistance of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston and its collection of costumes, fashion illustration and fashion photography.
Complete with 30 dressed mannequins draped in fashions by Galliano, Dior, Scaasi and LaCroix, alongside photographs adorning the exhibit, the experience walks patrons through the iconic process of design concept to runway, through to the finished image. The exhibit will run through Jan. 4, 2015. Visit cummermuseum.org for further information.
