Mock trial team scores in national competition
Described as “one of the strongest teams Bolles has ever fielded,” the Bolles Mock Trial Team received high marks during the Oct. 10 Bulldog Invitational High School Mock Trial Tournament at Yale University. Bolles defeated some of the strongest mock trial teams in the country, including Phillips Exeter Academy and American Heritage Plantation, despite being new to the national competition.
The Bolles team followed a tough schedule of four three-hour trials against the schools, as well as Choate Rosemary Hall and two American Heritage campuses. Bolles’ overall record was two wins and two losses. Co-Captain Sara Meadow took home a top attorney award.
“The team made a strong debut in a national competition, put Bolles on the interstate map as a real contender and shone as individuals at the highest level,” said team faculty sponsor Andrew Dickson, a San Marco resident.
The Bolles Mock Trial team includes Elina Doolabh, Sara Meadow, Amanda Segel (San Jose), Ari Dixon, Ben Kobrin (San Marco), Ian McCutcheon (San Marco) and Kiera Geraghty.
