Sports celebrities come out for annual cancer event

The 11th annual Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Wine Tasting Gala gave guests the opportunity to rub elbows with local sports celebrities and Tom Coughlin, the two-time Super Bowl winning coach, to support his mission to help families tackle childhood cancer. Coughlin, who founded the Jay Fund in 1996, greeted patrons as they sampled cuisine from 36 local restaurants and enjoyed world-class wines at the Wells Fargo Center on March 20 – all for the cause.

The event has raised over $1.5 million in its first 10 years to help families in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia with financial, emotional and practical support. This year’s event of over 900 registered guests raised nearly $250,000. “We are very happy with those results,” said Kelli Coughlin, executive director. “We are thrilled to have so many supporters here in Jacksonville.”
