Caroline Kennedy ends Forum season with elegance

The Florida Forum’s 2017-2018 season ended on a positive note for the Women’s Board, which was able to pay the last installment of a $4-million, five-year pledge to help Wolfson Children’s Hospital become a Pediatric Surgery Center of Distinction, including a professorship in pediatric surgery.

The Forum’s final speaker was Caroline Kennedy, daughter of President John F. Kennedy, who spoke to approximately 1,300 guests March 5 at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts. A graduate of Harvard University and Columbia Law School, Kennedy served as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan from 2013 to 2017. Prior to her keynote speech, she toured the hospital, then mingled with patrons at the pre- and post-event receptions.

Over the past 25 years The Florida Forum has delivered a world-class speaker series and raised community awareness and funds for Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Presenters for the 2017-2018 season included Florida Blue, Wells Fargo, Landstar System, Baptist Health, and Michael Aubin, president of Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
