DLC Nurse & Learn celebrates three decades of caring for children

DLC Nurse & Learn celebrated its 30th Anniversary of Hope and Miracles at the RiverFront Cafe Sept. 12. Local author and advocate Pam Tebow, mother of football player Tim Tebow, winner of the Heisman Trophy, was the keynote speaker at the event, which included dinner and a reflection of 30 years of miracles with the kids and families who have been served at DLC over the years.

DLC Nurse & Learn is an inclusion childcare center for children of all abilities, including those with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida, microcephaly, seizure disorders, g-tubes, apnea monitors and other special needs. Classrooms are available for infants to 5-year-olds, including voluntary prekindergarten for 4-year-olds. Additionally, after-school programs for children up to 22 years of age are offered. The organization is funded through a variety of community partners.
