Chocolate To-Go

Chocolate To-Go

The Coronavirus will not stop the Easter Bunny from making an appearance this year, thanks to Peterbrooke Chocolatier, which has shifted operations to carryout and delivery throughout Jacksonville and the more than 20-store network that stretches across Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. However, individual locations are reducing operating hours, closing most shops by 8 p.m. every evening.

“We’re all navigating these unprecedented times together, but it is our honor and privilege to continue to serve our guests across all of our communities,” said Peterbrooke Chocolatier Chief Operating Officer Jeff Smith. “Our guests’ safety and that of our team members is our highest priority, and this operational shift allows us to remain focused on safely preparing every single item and order. Now more than ever, we believe that some great chocolate or a fun treat can relieve a small amount of pressure and stress that we are all experiencing.”

Guests can place an order, which will be individually packaged, at any Peterbrooke locations through one of three methods:

  1. Call ahead and place an order directly with any shop. Locations and contact information can be found at peterbrooke.com.
  2. Order with one of Peterbrooke’s third party delivery partners including UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub and Postmates. Delivery partners vary on a store-by-store basis.
  3. Utilize curbside pickup to minimize person-to-person contact while remaining safely and comfortably in your car.

Peterbrooke is using heightened sanitizing procedures at all its shops including the thorough and constant disinfecting of all high-touch services as well as increasing mandatory handwashing before and after each order is prepared.

“We continue to monitor this incredibly dynamic and evolving situation as we follow all recommendations from the CDC as well as local, state, and federal health officials,” said Smith. “We will continue to take all necessary actions needed to protect our guests and keep our team members safe. We sincerely thank all of our guests for sticking by us, as we’re incredibly proud to continue serving them. We’re in this together as a community, and we hope that a little Peterbrooke chocolate can put a smile on someone’s face while reminding us all that better days are ahead,” said Smith.
