Village Bread donates 1,000 loaves to Feeding Northeast Florida

Village Bread is initiating a bread drive by donating 1,000 loaves of bread to Feeding Northeast Florida on Friday, April 10.

“We are asking our local community to join us in giving back to those impacted by Covid-19,” said Vinny Jubani, president of Village Bread & Bagel. “Last Friday, April 3, we teamed up with Daily’s to provide 2,000 loaves of free bread to local families as part of their care package give-away”, said Louis Ward Huntley, partner of Village Bread & Bagel. “The care packages were provided to support those families whose jobs and livelihoods have been impacted in a negative way.”

“As a wholesale bakery, we personally know a lot of people who have been negatively affected by this crisis,” said Jubani. “We are doing what we can to continue to help those in need. We are thankful for local food banks like Feeding Northeast Florida, who are making sure we all are fed.”

To take part in the local Village bread drive, go to www.spreadbread.org. In addition to

the 1,000-loaf initiative, two loaves will be donated to Feeding Northeast Florida for every $2 raised. The company’s mission is to continue providing bread to local food banks during this ongoing crisis.
