Floatilla organized to recognize Ron DeSantis
An American designed, built and locally honed Huckins Yacht, BOUNTY, steams out of the Ortega River basin, passing by the Ortega River Bridge as it makes its way toward Downtown on Saturday, June 11.
Donors and other party supporters from the Florida GOP and Duval County GOP were out for the morning of the Bicentennial celebration to thank our Governor Ron DeSantis during the World’s first DeSantis Flotilla. The event was slated for a 12 o’clock outing, to convene on the area of the St. Johns River surrounding the Hyatt Regency Hotel, the current home of USS Orleck Naval Ship Museum. Over 1,300 boats registered, the weather threatened the event with lightning, but the crowd made its impression felt, as the flotilla coincided with activities along the river during the City’s Bicentennial Celebration.
