SUMMARY:River City Dancing with the Stars
DESCRIPTION:The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus (JCC) began producing River City Dancing With The Stars (RCDWTS) to raise money for singer scholarships and ongoing programming for The Chorus. Since 2020\, the event was produced in partnership with All About Ballroom dance studio located in Jacksonville\, FL. The event features a dance competition where local leaders of Jacksonville are partnered with professional dance instructors to compete for the coveted mirror ball trophy. \nAll competing star showcase performances are scored by a panel of judges (50%) and audience votes (50%). The three judges will be using paddles with scoring from 1 to 10 – 10 being the best – to rate each star’s performance. Audience votes ($1 = 1 vote) are determined by the overall money raised before and during the event for the stars and their professional dance partners. The judges scores\, along with audience votes\, will help choose River City’s favorite dancer.
