This year’s summer kicked off with excitement as 19 boys ages 5–10 attended the Fifth Annual 904 All Stars Sports Camp. Several campers have attended every year since 2021, and most are returning participants. According to several mothers, their sons say it’s their favorite week of the summer.
Campers play whiffle ball, two-hand touch football, basketball and swim, among other activities. Highlights include a competitive water balloon toss and fight, often joined by the high school-aged counselors.

“My son really enjoyed sports camp and the opportunity to play sports with boys of all ages,” said Vanessa Andrews. “As a 5-year-old, he loves playing with bigger kids. They did a variety of activities to keep them busy and he couldn’t wait to go back every day!”
“904 All Stars is my son Ford’s favorite camp of the summer,” said Emily Magevney. “He’s gone every summer since he was old enough. It’s a slice of heaven situated in a safe neighborhood that reminds me of camps when I was his age. The boys are free to play sports, swim, and look up to the high school aged counselors.”
Campers also tie-dye 904 All Stars T-shirts, which they proudly wear around the neighborhood. This year, the camp raised over $2,300 for charity. Camp Director William Rachels plans to donate the funds to Brooks Rehabilitation.
