Headlining the performance is the award-winning John Jorgenson Quintet. Jorgenson has played with such luminaries as Bob Dylan, Elton John, Peter Frampton, Brad Paisley and even Luciano Pavarotti. Jorgenson has twice won the Academy of Country Music’s “Guitarist of the Year” Award.
The guitar quintet, which specializes in “gypsy jazz,” has performed at the Django Reinhardt Memorial Festival in France, as well as many other prestigious European events.
The Douglas Anderson School of the Arts Guitar Orchestra will open the evening by performing a variety of classical and jazz pieces, under the direction of Don Casper, who has produced the Great Guitar Gathering event since its inception.
