Pastel Drawing Class @ Murray Hill Art Class

This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.

Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

Back to School Fair at Virginia College @ Virginia College Jacksonville

The event is free and open to the public and will feature refreshments and candy for kids, campus tours, bingo, free back-to-school haircuts, a spelling bee, crafts, face painting, backpack and school supply giveaways while supplies last and more. Additionally, attendees 18 and older can enter to win gift cards.

The event is part of Virginia College parent company Education Corporation of America’s national Back to School Events being held at 62 other Virginia College, Brightwood Career Institute and Brightwood College locations throughout 17 states.

The Florida Ballet 40th Anniversary Celebration Performance @ Lazzara Theater, UNF Fine Arts Center

The program will feature the return of Florida Ballet alumni and current pre-professional students dancing original works and a revival repertoire from the organization’s four decades of dance. Choreographed pieces by the organization’s founder Laurie Picinich Byrd will be featured, as well as, Florida Ballet alumni James Kinney, Savery Morgan, Denise Richards, Davis Robertson, and Cutis Williams.
