This program is for children birth to 5 years with an adult caregiver. The program includes stories, books, finger plays, nursery rhymes, and songs that promote language development, vocabulary building and comprehension. Arts & Crafts or Open Play following program. Early literacy toys ranging from building blocks to dinosaurs will be made available. Caregivers must stay with children at all times.
Take a break from the summer heat and join library staffers as we read out loud for 15 minutes every day! We’ll read our favorite books to you, and you might even decide to check out a copy of the title for yourself.
Books for the Bold is a monthly read-your-own-books discussion group hosted by staff from the Willowbranch Library. Read a book that fits the monthly theme and then come talk about it over coffee at Bold Bean!

Join the Museum every Tuesday and Thursday for a guided tour of the historic Cummer Gardens, beginning in the Museum lobby.
Beginning Thursday, January 10th, join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a fast-paced 30-minute walk in downtown Jacksonville, led by Friends of Hemming Park staff. We will meet near the “Opposing Forces” sculpture in Hemming Park at the corner of Monroe and Laura Streets. Our route will change daily, and we will visit a variety of Jacksonville landmarks during this fun, free, twice-weekly event. For more information, email [email protected]

True Stories meets on the first Thursday of every month to discuss a nonfiction book selection. At February’s meeting come prepared to discuss your favorite nonfiction reads and recommend books for future meetings.
