A Program of Riverside Avondale Preservation (RAP) the Riverside Arts Market celebrates the arts and our Northeast Florida community. The weekly market features live music, food, art, fresh produce under the canopy of the Fuller Warren Bridge. Take part in hands-on, minds-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and math concepts. Together we’ll explore, create and discover through weekly challenges, experiments and projects. Whether building boats or making works of art, you’ll have so much fun you won’t realize you’re actually learning! For children ages 5 – 12.
Welcome to our Summer STEM programming for adults! Join us at the Willowbranch Library to learn from a Master Gardener about native plants and the science you need to know to make your plants grow.
Tired of the same old art activities? Need reminding that creativity can exist outside of paper and canvas? Then join us for Go Native!, a six-part art adventure that will be sure to inspire. Explore indigenous art and culture from around the world as we create projects that fuse traditional methods with contemporary designs. For teens ages 12 – 18.
Open Mic night is a monthly event for youths in Jacksonville that gives them a chance to perform in front of their peers and the community. The event attracts creative kids from around the city who want to participate in performance art. It’s a lively, energetic event that gives kids a chance to share their performances of poetry, singing, acting or rapping, etc.
Family friendly, suggested donation $5. Pizza, snacks, drinks available for purchase.
This concert is magnificent and features the Riverside Presbyterian Church Chancel and Celebration choirs, hand bell choir, instrumental ensemble, soloists and The Ancient City Brass. The event will include sing-a-longs. The concert is free and open to the community and starts at 5 pm.
