Delores Barr Weaver has approved a one-to-one matching challenge grant for up to $9,000 to provide capital funds to the Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens.

The Delores Barr Weaver Fund grant will match up to $9,000 given by all donors to the nonprofit organization through February 28, 2019.

“We’re extremely grateful to receive this special challenge grant from the Delores Barr Weaver Fund, which will allow supporters of the arboretum to double the impact of their donations,” said Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens Executive Director Diane Machaby.  “We’re in the process of planning significant changes to enhance our gardens, and these dollars will really help speed up that process even more.”

Improvements planned at the venue include paving, the addition of new garden areas, the expansion of some of existing garden areas and other needed infrastructure enhancements.
