Seven churches joined together under the name #OneBodyJax to celebrate National Serve Day by serving their neighbors at Sulzbacher’s Urban Rest Stop in downtown Jacksonville and Sulzbacher Village in north Jacksonville. The churches serving included Church of Eleven22, Celebration, Impact Church, Redeemer, Elevate Life, The Well and Rise Church. National Serve Day provides churches across the world with opportunities to serve their local communities and share the love of God through practical acts of kindness.

At Urban Rest Stop, residents and clients received a day of care. UNF nurses and doctors completed blood pressure checks. Church members distributed hygiene items such as socks and food and did bike repair and campus beautification. Clients also enjoyed a meal and music.

At Sulzbacher Village, volunteers provided a day of fun for children living there. A bounce house, pizza and outdoor games gave the kids a great summer memory.

Other resource partners benefiting from this service day include the Boys and Girls Club, Trinity Rescue Mission and Clara White Mission. TOP VIDEOS
