Petco Foundation invests in First Coast No More Homeless Pets

First Coast No More Homeless Pets (FCNMHP) has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to continue its landmark spay/neuter initiative for community cats across Duval County.

The Petco Foundation investment will provide funding for hundreds of spay/neuter surgeries of community cats to reduce feral and community cat populations across the region. Jacksonville has long been recognized as a national leader as the animal welfare community works together to save more animal lives through a broad range of innovative programs and partnerships.

“The Petco Foundation continues to show its commitment to the mission of FCHMHP, and our community,” said FCNMHP Founder and CEO Rick DuCharme. “Spay and neuter surgery is needed year-round for community cats, so support like this grant allows us to extend the number of surgeries we offer to reduce the fast-growing kitten population.”

FCNMHP is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to end the killing of shelter cats and dogs in our community, northeast Florida and southeast Georgia while providing affordable and accessible veterinary care to all.
