Over the course of its 60-plus years in business, Carpet Concepts has refined and perfected the art of delivering top-of-the-line products, many of which are created on-site at its in-house workroom.
Mark Stone is continuing the tradition set by his parents, John and Alva Stone, of providing quality products with top-notch customer service. Carpet Concepts first opened on July 1, 1966, and Stone remembers the first store his parents operated in Downtown Jacksonville at the corner of Hogan and Forsythe streets. He was just a young child then. Today, he runs Carpet Concepts at its two locations–one in the Fairfax area on Herschel Street and the other in South Jacksonville Beach–with the help of his two sons and nephew, making Carpet Concepts a true family affair. And with more than 90% of their business coming from repeat customers, some of his clients feel like family, too.
“We have been very fortunate to have a large multi generational customer base,” said Stone.
With a full suite of services, from in-home consultations and on-site carpet services to in-house customizations in its Herschel Street workroom right next door to its showroom, Carpet Concepts is truly a one-stop shop for all your carpeting needs. Stone leads a seasoned team of experts who will help guide clients in selecting the perfect rug or carpet to complete any space, indoors or outdoors. Clients can select from thousands of styles, colors, and fabrics in the main showroom before their order is custom-sized and finished to their particular needs, with the option to add a custom-sized area rug pad as well. Orders are typically available within three to five weeks, and with delivery services, clients need only wait for their new rugs to be delivered directly to them.
“By having complete oversight of the process, we are able to deliver finished goods as efficiently as possible,” Stone said.
With Carpet Concepts’ on-site custom carpet service, professionals will streamline the installation process for intricate spaces – fitting a rug around a fireplace hearth or cutting to fit an irregular shaped room or installing a complicated staircase – meaning once the selection process is completed, Carpet Concepts clients can relax, knowing their orders are in expert hands that will create, deliver and install it with seasoned ease and a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience with best-in-class products.
