Women’s History Month nominees due Feb. 2
In honor of Women’s History Month, The Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women is accepting nominations to recognize women who have made a significant impact to the Jacksonville community.
Ten local women will be selected as finalists, with four women to be featured as honorees on the annual poster celebrating Women’s History Month. They will be recognized during a breakfast program held at the University of North Florida’s Student Center on March 17. This year’s theme is: HerStory: Honoring All Women
If you know of a deserving woman who has made a difference in the community and/or in the lives of others, complete and submit a nomination form. Nomination forms are available at www.coj.net/MCSW or by email at [email protected]. For further information call Alaina Reaves, staff liaison for the MCSW, at (904) 630-1618. Only nominations submitted on the approved forms will be accepted. The nomination deadline is Monday, Feb. 2 at 5 p.m.
