ExZOOberation Masquerade puts ‘fun’ in fundraising

Despite the rainy evening, guests danced the night away April 7 at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens’ fundraising event, ExZOOberation: Masquerade Soiree and After Dark Party.

Animal lovers and party animals wore black and donned Venetian masks for the swanky fundraiser held in the Shaba Terrace. DJ Vic Micolucci kept the party moving while guests enjoyed food samplings from Black Sheep and Taste, as well as a gourmet doughnut bar from Good Dough, and an open bar.

Silent auction items included unique Zoo experiences and fabulous jewelry. All proceeds go towards the feeding and care of the Zoo’s 2,000 animals and the conservation projects the Zoo supports in Northeast Florida and around the world. ExZOOberation has raised over $3.5 million over the last 22 years.
