The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville’s largest annual fundraiser is an experience – not a gala.

The 49th annual Arts Awards: Neon Noir, held at Decca Live on Saturday, May 9, offered guests an interactive, multi-level experience as it recognized and celebrated the individuals and organizations that continue to power Jacksonville’s creative sector. With nearly 100% of the evening’s proceeds going directly back into the city’s arts and culture sector, this annual event continues to drive artistic excellence within the city’s creative economy just as much as the honorees it recognizes.

This year’s award recipients included:

Art Educator: Doris McNeil

Art of Giving: Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi

Art Innovator: Willie Evans, Jr.

Community Impact: Kady Yellow

Robert Arleigh White Award for Advocacy: Darren Dailey

Small Business of the Year: LOL Jax Film Festival

Corporate Business of the Year: GFWC Jacksonville Beaches Woman’s Club

Helen Lane Founders Award: Kandice Clark

2026 Creative Catalyst Recognition: (Public Funding)
Mayor Donna Deegan and City Council President Kevin Carrico
(Private Funding) Bryan Moll
