Tai Chi for Arthritis @ Lincoln Villa Senior Center

The one-hour classes meet twice a week for eight weeks.

Participants learn balance skills, good body alignment, and coordinated fluid movements to increase flexibility and strength, reduce falls, and improve fitness.  Movements performed seated or standing (canes & walkers okay)

Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program @ Jim Fortuna Senior Center

The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is a low impact physical activity program proven to reduce pain and decrease stiffness. The sessions include gentle range-of-motion exercises that are suitable for every fitness level and ability. Led by a trained program leader, these enjoyable and motivational classes may be taken either standing or sitting in a chair.

Pastel Drawing Class @ Murray Hill Art Class

This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.

Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

CONCERT: RIYAAZ QAWWALI @ The Cummer Museum

Qawwali, a musical tradition that dates back to the late 13th century, is a style of Muslim devotional music that today is particularly associated with Sufism. The members of the Riyaaz Qawwali ensemble represent the unique diversity of South Asia. Now settled in the United States, these musicians hail from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. They represent multiple religious and spiritual backgrounds and have been professionally performing qawwali for the past eight years.
