3-D Pens @ San Marco Branch Library

Teens ages 13 – 18 have an opportunity to try out their skills with 3-D pens. It’s a ton of fun. They can get creative and make their own 3-D designs by simply using the cool—but powerful tools—3-D pens. All events are free and open to the public.

 

What’s a Prelutsky? @ San Marco Branch Library

Explore all things Prelutsky in this celebration of National Poetry Month. We’ll learn more about the award-winning poet—Jack Prelutsky—through fun activities sure to bring out the writer in all of us! Prelutsky was the first U.S. Children’s Poet Laureate, and the author of more than 50 collections of poetry. His books are entertaining, engaging, and educating, and have been popular with kids for more than 40 years. School-age children from 5 – 12 years old won’t want to miss the fun!

Beginning Thursday, January 10th, join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a fast-paced 30-minute walk in downtown Jacksonville, led by Friends of Hemming Park staff. We will meet near the “Opposing Forces” sculpture in Hemming Park at the corner of  Monroe and Laura Streets.
