Hemming Park Walking Club Kick-off @ Hemming Park

Beginning Thursday, January 10th, join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a fast-paced 30-minute walk in downtown Jacksonville, led by Friends of Hemming Park staff. We will meet near the “Opposing Forces” sculpture in Hemming Park at the corner of  Monroe and Laura Streets. Our route will change daily, and we will visit a variety of Jacksonville landmarks during this fun, free, twice-weekly event. For more information, email [email protected]

Please join us for this introductory class that will cover the first 17 moves and explore other health benefits of Taoist Tai Chi. Often referred to as “moving meditation,”the Taoist Tai Chi Society® internal arts incorporates stretching and turning in a sequence of 108 movements to reduce tension, improve circulation and balance, and increase strength and flexibility. 3-D Pens @ San Marco Library

As the end of another school year approaches, students’ thoughts may turn to what they can give as small gifts to friends and favorite teachers. The San Marco Library is offering a 3-D Printer Pen demonstration, and will show how to create fun crafts for classmates and teachers. This program is intended for teens 13-18.
