Florida Blue Free Tuesday at The Cummer @ The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens

Every Tuesday, enjoy free admission to the Cummer Museum and its historic Gardens, thanks to the generous support of Florida Blue. Guests can enjoy free admission to the Galleries and Gardens. Each Tuesday evening, the Cummer Café is open for Tapas Tuesday sponsored by VyStar Credit Union.

Overland Bridge Landscaping Open House @ FDOT Urban Office Training Center

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host an open house to share information with the community about construction for the upcoming Overland Bridge landscaping improvements project.

Those interested can drop by anytime between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. to learn more about the construction of the landscaping plans and speak with FDOT staff and project design consultants who will be available to answer questions regarding the project. Full-color renderings will be displayed to demonstrate what the landscaping will look like upon completion of the project. No formal presentation will be made.

Beginning Thursday, January 10th, join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a fast-paced 30-minute walk in downtown Jacksonville, led by Friends of Hemming Park staff. We will meet near the “Opposing Forces” sculpture in Hemming Park at the corner of  Monroe and Laura Streets.
