Hendricks Avenue Elementary Chess Club member Evelyn Crawford brought home a national title from the United States Chess Federation Super Nationals in Orlando after winning all seven of her games to place first in the K-6 U1000 division.

Nearly 5,000 students traveled to Florida to compete in this three-day event, held May 9 to 11.
