U.S. Congressman John Rutherford (FL-5) visited the River Garden Senior Services campus this week to engage with leadership, staff and families about the ongoing challenges and concerns facing nursing homes in Florida.

River Garden CEO Mauri Mizrahi invited the Congressman’s visit, noting the importance of open dialogue between lawmakers and care providers.“We are grateful to Congressman Rutherford for taking the time to hear firsthand how federal policies are affecting River Garden, the seniors who live here and those who care for them. Our boards, staff and families are all committed to advocating for policies that support dignified, quality care. Sharing real-life stories – especially in-person – is the best way for us to make an impact, and we are confident that these conversations and relationships will lead to meaningful action,” Mizrahi said.
