Bishop Kenny High School Junior Kathleen Crawley has been named the FHSAA 4A Florida Dairy Farmers Girls Basketball Player of the Year.

Crawley has played for Bishop Kenny’s varsity basketball team for three years, playing a pivotal role in a landmark season for the girls’ basketball team, which brought home the program’s first state championship in 34 years.

“This season has been amazing and completely surreal for me – we did it! We truly played for all the legacy players that came before us, and I want to thank all the students, faculty and staff at BK for believing in us and supporting us at all the home and championship games,” Crawley said.

Crawley is a well-rounded student-athlete on and off the court, participating in several campus clubs, including the Anchor Club, Crusader Athletes for Christ, Spanish Club and Interact. She has previously played on the Bishop Kenny golf team and is preparing to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Crawley is a member of multiple honor societies, including English, Science, Spanish and the National Honor Society.
