The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital gathered April 30 at Ruth’s Chris Steak House for the organization’s annual Spring Luncheon, welcoming new members, honoring past leadership and celebrating another successful season of philanthropy in support of pediatric care across Northeast Florida.

The luncheon brought together a membership that filled the room with colorful Spring attire, orchid-filled table settings and the desire to further friendships. The ladies networked and reflected on the year’s accomplishments while setting sights on fundraising efforts ahead. Past presidents were recognized for their dedication and service to the organization, while new members were welcomed into the group during the gathering.

The luncheon also highlighted the organization’s latest fundraising initiative – a planned outdoor healing and play space for children receiving care in Wolfson Children’s Hospital’s Behavioral Health and Wellness Unit. The Women’s Board has committed to raising funds toward the creation of the therapeutic outdoor area, designed to provide young patients with a safe and calming environment for play, fresh air and emotional healing during treatment. It will also serve as a respite for nursing and other related staff seeking a fresh, outside space to unwind during stressful shifts at the hospital.

The annual luncheon serves as both a celebration of service and a reminder of the impact the organization continues to make through its ongoing support of Wolfson Children’s Hospital and the families it serves.
