J. McLaughlin has officially joined the merchants of the Shoppes of Avondale, offering its brand of timeless, elegant clothing to shoppers who already enjoy frequenting the boutiques and businesses along St. Johns Avenue.
Manager Angela Hampton said J. McLaughlin said she is thrilled to welcome guests into the store and continue getting to know the neighborhood.
“We have had such a warm reception,” Hampton said. “Nobody could have been more welcoming, both the customers, as well as the other merchants up and down the street.”
True to its core philanthropic value of giving back to its communities, the store partnered with The Community Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation for its “Sips, Bites and Spring Shopping” grand opening on Thursday, April 3, during which 10% of sale proceeds would be donated to the nonprofit.
“We’re very blessed to have all these supporters and everybody coming in and helping us out to get their message out and then also raise funds to support these unfunded programs,” said Annie Tuttle, executive director of The Community Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation
J. McLaughlin is located at 3581 Saint Johns Avenue. It is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
