Hunger Fight celebrated its new headquarters with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 24 in the Rail Yard District. Hunger Fight board members joined the organization’s founder and CEO Sherri Porter, alongside Dean Porter, for the official ribbon cutting. The new headquarters are located at 2222 Harper Street. Porter launched the organization 12 years ago to produce and distribute shelf-stable, flavorful and nutritious meals to children facing food insecurity in our community. Hunger Fight also battles illiteracy through its Feed the Need to Read program, which provides age-appropriate books each month to children from birth to five years old.
